Five years ago this month, we released our sophomore album ‘Don’t Worry It Will Be Dark Soon.’ We’ve had one last song from that era kicking around the archives and thought that this was as good a time as any to let it out into the light.

‘PAIN’ is a song about trying to convince yourself that everything is ok. It was written in Ryan Guldemond’s Vancouver apartment on a summer evening in 2013. It was recorded later that fall in a cabin in Okeover, BC with Caleb Shreve and Ted Gowans, mixed in New York City by Caleb, and mastered by Seth Foster at Sterling Sound.

We’ll be donating all of proceeds from sales to the Canadian Mental Health Association (cmha.ca), because we’re all in pain sometimes and we don’t have to pretend we’re not.
